Los Angeles City Hall wired for Earthquake Early Warning

Early Warning Labs was chosen to wire the Los Angeles City Hall.  As part of this year’s Shakeout Drill, Mayor Garcetti held a press conference to discuss the important of earthquake safety and how Los Angeles is leading the nation in earthquake resiliency.

“Angelenos know the next big earthquake is not a question of ‘if’ but ‘when,’ — that is why we are taking action today to ensure we survive tomorrow’s seismic shocks,” said Mayor Garcetti. “From retrofitting our most vulnerable buildings to delivering earthquake early warning to Angelenos, we are committed to making Los Angeles an epicenter of seismic resilience and safety.”

Early Warning Labs outfitted city hall with an audible alert system tied into the fire control panel.  Los Angeles is leading the way thanks to Early Warning Labs.
